“Swing Chip-BASS Kit” is a sound improvement kit for wood bass, including a large and small Swing Chips.  By placing 2 different sized chips on the body, the effects will be as clear as the standard Swing Chip even for a large instrument.  It also helps reduce feedback on a piezo type pickup when used with your current feedback reducing measures.

“20×3.5 Large” Swing Chip

Placed on the lower side of the front on a large area, the chip reduces feedback caused by lower notes.

“9×3 Small”  Swing Chip

Placed on the sound point of the back of the body, it reduces feedback caused by high notes.

Use

Wipe off any oil, water or stains off surface before placing chips.  Peel off the sticker and place on the designated sound points of your instrument.  The effects will slightly change depending on where you place it.  Remove and adjust position until you reach your desired effects.  Replace adhesive tape with the provided spare when it does not stick.  When replacing adhesive tape, clean off the sticking side of the chip.  Using a dryer to warm the chip before applying adhesive tape will make it stickier.

<How to find feedback reducing points>

• Connect to amp and raise the volume until it is almost about to feedback.
• Tap lightly on the large area of the lower front body and find where the most feedback occurs.
• Place “20×3.5 Large” Swing Chip on this point.  This should lower the feedback on low notes.
• Next, tap lightly on the back of the body and find where the most feedback occurs.
• Place “9×3 Small” Swing Chip on this point.  This should lower the feedback on high notes.
• Return to appropriate volume.

The Swing Chip reacts differently depending on size and where it is placed.  Find your best setting according to your environment.
